Luca Dipierro is a writer, filmmaker and illustrator. Born in the Alps in Northern Italy, Luca now lives and works in the U.S. After many years of independent publishing, in 2007 he co-founded Black Arrow Studio & Press with his wife Rachel Bradley, to produce his short films and documentaries and publish books by upcoming writers and artists from all over the word. His novel Breakfast in America will be published in 2008. He is working on two other books, The Black Biscotti, stories of people seen through the eyes of a dead man, and 1981, a collection of short stories building a parallel, distorted vision of the 80’s. I Probably Should Have Changed My Shirt, a DVD collecting his first short films, is available through Black Arrow. He is currently working on several film projects, including Cheese & Cranes, a visual essay about drawing. His fiction, in Italian, is posted every other day on the website unastoriaalgiorno.blogspot.com, and in English on blackbiscotti.blosgspot.com. He recently edited the anthology of short stories Santi Live of Modern Saints, published by Black Arrow. His art has appeared on LP and CD covers of bands he likes. His life is based on a true story.

Dal 2005 vive negli Stati Uniti, dove nel 2007 ha fondato con sua moglie Rachel Bradley la casa editrice Black Arrow Studio & Press, per pubblicare libri di autori emergenti e per produrre i suoi film documentari. Il suo romanzo Colazione in America verrà pubblicato nel 2008. Altri due libri sono in lavorazione: The Black Biscotti, storie di newyorchesi viste attraverso gli occhi di un morto, e 1981, un’esplorazione degli anni ’80 trasformati in un universo parallelo e irriconoscibile. Nove dei suoi film brevi sono stati raccolti nel DVD I Probably Should Have Changed My Shirt, uscito per Black Arrow. Sono in lavorazione: Cheese & Cranes (un saggio sul disegno) e un film sulla narrazione in collaborazione con lo scrittore Michael Kimball. I suoi scritti in inglese si possono leggere su blackbiscotti.blogspot.com. Recentemente ha editato un’antologia di racconti di ventisei scrittori americani e italiani, Santi Lives of Modern Saints. I sui disegni e dipinti sono apparsi su sopertine di LP e CD, ed esibite a Philadelphia, Baltimore, Minneapolis. La sua vita è basata su una storia vera.
